YouthMind Team Introduction
1 Our Team
Youthmind is an international and interdisciplinary innovation team composed of 11 young members from the UK, China, Switzerland, and the Middle East. Core members come from the University of Bristol, University of Birmingham Dubai Campus, University of Manchester, and University of the Arts London, covering disciplines such as artificial intelligence, computer science, financial investment, accounting, and data visualization design. Our members have played key roles in international projects, promoting and implementing solutions in fields such as medical AI, digital art, Web3 social platforms, and AI educational tools.
2 Founder
Founder Qingshi Wang is currently studying Computer Science at the University of Bristol. He is a leading youth figure at the intersection of scientific innovation, emotional AI, and cross-disciplinary applications. Wang is the founder of the Swiss-registered nonprofit Youthmind Association, founder and CEO of Beijing Youmai Technology Co., Ltd., and co-founder of the BIM International Youth Alliance, which promotes the integration of youth-led technological innovation and emotional well-being. During secondary school, he won 38 national and international awards in science and technology innovation, including First Prize at the Global Natural History Day Finals, the Silver Award of the Yau Mathematical Biology Competition, and the “China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award,” demonstrating outstanding research potential.
Currently, he is leading the development of the REFT (Representation-Enhanced Fusion Transformer) architecture, which proposes integrating emotional and semantic representations to improve AI comprehension. This architecture has been successfully registered with the UK Copyright Service. Alongside Yin Li, he co-developed the AS emotional computing model, which incorporates both semantic understanding and AI-generated emotional reactions, laying a technical foundation for “machine empathy.” His representative paper, Beyond Semantics: The Next-Generation Transformer Integrating Emotional Representations, was published in 2025 and has drawn significant academic and industry attention.
Wang previously served as the project lead for emotional AI research at Stanford University’s Center for Mindfulness and has been invited to speak at several international forums, including AI for Young, the CEPO Health AI Forum, and the Spring International Future Forum. His emotional AI algorithm was also integrated into artist Xiaohui Wang’s exhibition Red Child · Blue Butterfly, enabling real-time emotional interaction between AI and viewers, highlighting the deep integration of technology and art.
Founder Yin Li is currently an undergraduate student in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Birmingham (Dubai campus). He is a globally-minded and execution-driven young AI practitioner passionate about artificial intelligence, programming, and data analytics. Proficient in JavaScript, Python, Java, TypeScript, and more, his interests span medical AI, financial AI, blockchain, Web3, and digital transformation. As CTO of the youth tech organization Youthmind, he has led multiple acclaimed AI projects, including a smart traffic management platform in Dubai, a multilingual image recognition system with 97% accuracy, a multimodal medical AI model based on LLaMA, and an Islamic art NFT platform. He has also contributed to AI and VR projects at companies like Goldon, BOXIN, and GuildHall, and currently serves as Chief Engineer at Liba Space.
Li has won numerous international awards, including First Prize at the 8th IET GCC Robotics and AI Challenge, First Place at NYU Abu Dhabi’s competition, and Champion of Microsoft’s AI Agent Challenge. He has published research on explainable AI in the context of healthcare and finance. In the realm of social engagement, he serves as CTO of both Queel and Youthmind, and has held roles such as international project coordinator for Alibaba at Gitex, official interpreter and presenter for China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism at Expo City Dubai, and roundtable guest at the Huawei 2025 AI Summit. He has been invited to speak at TEDx Dubai and actively leads the Dubai AI Student Community. His strong cross-cultural communication skills and leadership make him a key force in the global youth AI movement.
